Adler Yu. P. , Sper B. L. "Six Sigma": another gate leading to the temple . Article2008. The authors describe the history of creation and the principles of the "Six Sigma" technique. "Six Sigma" is one of the possible ways of process description of business and creation of a system of continuous improvement of actions that make up the business process The Six Sigma concept focuses on all operations of the process that generate or eliminate defects, rather than the defects themselves. The so-called sigma reproducibility of the process, which is more convenient to express in defects per million products (opportunities), measures the ability of the process to perform defect-free work. As part of this approach, a defect is anything that slows down a process or service or interferes with it. The main component of the Six Sigma concept is the use of statistical process management tools. At its core, Six Sigma is a dynamic methodology that works throughout the organization and covers its entire hierarchical structure. In applying the Six Sigma methodology to achieve so-called quality, the Six Sigma identifies eight stages: understanding, defining, measuring, analyzing, refining, controlling, standardizing, and integrating.
