Offered to students of the 1st year, this methodological manual is a supplement to the textbook ''General and Inorganic Chemistry'' I. A. Ugaia, in which some sections of chemical kinetics (molecularity, reaction order, heterogeneous catalysis and some others) are given in the summary. Therefore, the purpose of this methodological development is a fairly detailed presentation of these sections with the involvement of a number of illustrative examples. The authors tried to explain in an accessible language some fairly difficult to understand the problem of chemical kinetics. At the same time, modern methodological publications, both domestic and foreign, were used, the list of which is given at the end of the methodological instructions.
