"Animal Court" is a satirical fairy tale in which the author masterfully depicted the substitution of utopian revolutionary ideals and their replacement by the principles of totalitarian dictatorship. It is believed that in his story Orwell tried to allegorically represent the October Revolution of 1917 along with its consequences. A new translation of Orwell's works was specially made for the present edition by Rostislav Grishchenkov. The book uses original illustrations by Vera Dubrovskaya.
