The collection consists of five summarised articles, interconnected by the unity of the applied research method, which are devoted to the analysis of the rolling process of wheeled engines of cars and motor trains regardless of the number of their axles. The first article describes the main theoretical prerequisites for the construction of a generalized method for assessing rolling resistances of vehicles on wheels with elastic tires. Here are introduced the concepts of generalized rolling parameters of multi-wheel drives. In the second article, the conclusion of the dependence of the rolling resistance coefficient of cars and motor trains from the generalized parameters of their engines is given. In the third article, on the basis of classification, the considerations regarding the consideration of the characteristic features of various types of drive cars and road trains are given on a principle-constructive basis. In the fourth article, a brief summary ofthe method offinding generalized parameters of rollingwheel motors with individual drive is given bythe known parameters ofused studdedwheels. The fifth article describes the method of determining the generalized rolling parameters of wheeled engines with a symmetrical-differential drive. All five articles are built on the common premises set out in the first article, and have a single system of conditional designations given at the end of the collection.
