The purpose of the course is to increase the level of teaching development economics in Russian universities, to unify teaching methods of development economics courses, to develop the basics of a single standard for this discipline. In accordance with the goal, the course solves the following tasks: to acquaint students with various methods and approaches to teaching development economics ; to give an idea of the possibility of 'embedding' elements of development economics into related courses (macroeconomics, public choice theory, institutional economics) ; demonstrate the possibilities of using the apparatus of development economics to analyze a wide range of economic problems. The course is intended for university teachers who teach courses in development economics and related disciplines, as well as for those who are engaged in the preparation of independent courses in development economics . The course is designed for 64 hours - 32 hours of classroom classes, 32 hours - self-catering work . In addition to a brief description of the topics of the course, the program contains a list of exemplary control questions and tasks for independent work, exemplary variants of control tasks for offset (examination) throughout the course, as well as lists of basic and additional literature.
