These guidelines are intended for students of the 1st and 2nd courses of the evening department of the Faculty of Pharmacy . The programme of the workshop includes the study of theoretical material on the main sections of the course of organic chemistry and their consideration in the seminar sessions . In laboratory work, qualitative reactions are studied for the main functional groups in molecules in order to identify them. In addition, it is provided to familiarize with the basic methods of cleaning liquid and solid samples (various types of distillation, recrystallization, sublimation), as well as to perform work on the synthesis of certain classes of substances .. In the course of these works, students master the techniques of conducting a complex experiment - assembling the device, performing synthesis, excretion and purification of the put drug .. Acquired skills and abilities are necessary in further professional activities in the chosen specialty
