Reverend Simeon the New Theologian, based on whose works this book was compiled, with his life and creations showed for us the path that leads a person to communion with God. And he testified that this path is narrow and regrettable; it is filled with the daily struggle with various passions that prevent a person from achieving the Kingdom of Heaven and salvation.
