The monograph is devoted to one of the urgent and complex problems of modern civilization. The object of the study is corruption as a systemic phenomenon in general and socio-psychological - in particular. Subject of research socio-psychological factors of corruption . The purpose of the work is to conduct a comprehensive analysis and assessment of the socio-psychological parameters of manifestations of corruption (primarily in Russian society) . The paper substantiates the main theoretical approaches to the socio-psychological study of corruption in Russia and abroad . The methodological foundations and methodological tools of the study of corruption in modern socio-psychological and sociological literature are highlighted . The results of an empirical study of the attitude of various social and age groups of the population to corruption and corruption offenses . Socio-psychological factors and conditions of committing corruption crimes are analyzed (on the example of former employees of the penitentiary system). Scientifically based proposals on socio-psychological directions of prevention and counteraction of corruption are formulated .
