The methodological recommendations present modern ideas about the etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of central diabetes insipidus. Particular attention is paid to the replacement therapy with a tablet form of desmopressin - Minirin (MINIRIN, Ferring), given that the intranasal form of the drug, Adiuretin, is no longer available. Minirin is a new form of desmopressin with high antidiuretic activity. These recommendations are based on the experience of the Endocrinological Scientific Center of the RAMS, including the use of the tablet drug Minirin in patients with central diabetes insipidus . Accurate diagnosis and modern treatment of diseases accompanied by impaired water-salt metabolism require a clear understanding of the processes of regulation of this system, both from the point of view of physiology and endocrinology, and from the point of view of molecular biology.
