Preprint. Moscow . IKI RAN. 2011. 40 s. This paper presents the results of laboratory studies of the radiophysical and dielectric properties of a number of ore minerals, their accompanying non-ore minerals, as well as rocks that are rich and poor copper ore. Methods of measuring the reflectivity and transmittance of flat-parallel mineral and rock samples in the frequency range of 12...145 GHz are described, as well as methods and results of calculating the dielectric characteristics of minerals from the obtained experimental data. Approximation expressions are given to calculate the actual and imaginary part of the complex index of refraction of minerals depending on the radiation frequency in the range of 12...145 GHz. The possibility of separating copper ore, according to reflected microwave radiation from it, into rich and poor is shown. Described by the authors, "microwave way of separating ores". The work investigated minerals that are the main ores in the extraction of iron, zinc, copper and titanium: magnetite, hematite, sphalerite, chalcopyrite, pyrite and ilmenite, as well as non-metallic minerals: Labrador and oligoclause .. The authors express their sincere gratitude to the companies LLC "TECHNOROS" and LLC "RADOS" g. Krasnoyarsk for provided mineral samples. The work was carried out with the support of the RFBR (project No. 10-05-00037), as well as with partial support of the Federal Program "Scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of innovative Russia" for 2009-2013 .
