Abstracts of the report at the interdisciplinary scientific and technical school-seminar "Non-recurrent fast-moving phenomena in the environment" (18-24 April 1988, g. Tomsk), Part 3, p. 214-215. The physical nature hypothesis of the 1908 Tunguska disaster, which focuses on the ultra-low temperature of a metallic cosmic body inside the icy core of a long-period comet Ultra-low temperature is considered as the root cause of superconductivity in the metal body. Due to the MHD-processes that take place when entering the atmosphere, it is assumed that the superconductor is pumped with electromagnetic energy, superconductivity failure, and the subsequent instantaneous destruction of the meteoroid due to joule heat .. From the standpoint of this hypothesis, an explanation of some anomalous phenomena in the atmosphere is proposed.
