Martin Heidegger's work "German Idealism (Fichte, Schelling, Hegel) and the Philosophical Problems of Modernity" arose during the preparation of the lecture course for the summer semester of 1928, and its main place is devoted to the study of Fichte's philosophy. Heidegger begins with a detailed interpretation of the three principles of "Science", and then proceeds to the foundations of theoretical knowledge and practical science. This is followed by a brief passage about Schelling as an intermediate link in the history of German idealism. Finally, as an introduction to Hegel's philosophy, a discussion of his early treatise on the difference between the Fichte and Schelling systems is proposed, and the work concludes with a consideration of the problem of the beginning in Hegel's Logic.
