To a young math enthusiast, I dedicate my work first. Let him now remember the old truth: "If we do not know about something, how it was formed, we will not understand it." History makes it possible to understand the soul of science, pouring life into it and deeply revealing its essence. Being the best school for the education of creativity, history encourages it - and for this reason it has great value for general education. Let the young reader, acquainted with the "biography" of the very science he studies in high school, as a certain subject, often as something limitedly frozen, penetrate deeper into the essence of exact science and let him love it.
