The proposed work consists of two parts. This part of the work describes the basic principles of digital television construction, methods of sampling, quantization and encoding of image signals. are considered. The main features of digital processing of TV signals and images, various methods of orthogonal transformations are shown. The paper considers the component coding of the CTC, as well as the requirements of Recommendation ITU-R-BT 601, defining a single international standard for digital coding of TV signal for studio equipment.
