The work program is developed in accordance with the requirements of state educational standards of higher professional education in the direction of training of a certified specialist 654100 (specialty 200400 - "Industrial electronics") and the direction of training of a bachelor 550700 - "Electronics and microelectronics" . The methodological collection contains a work program, a thematic plan of lectures, a list of basic and additional literature, a task for control work and methodological instructions for its implementation. There are three sections in the work program: principles of operation of quantum systems, which considers the main characteristics of optical radiation, the energy states of quantum systems, active media and methods of creating inverse population, optical resonators, amplification of optical radiation and laser generation conditions ; coherent and incoherent sources of optical radiation, where solid-state and gas lasers are considered (atomic, molecular and ion lasers, as well as semiconductor injection LEDs and lasers on homo and heterotransitions ; optical radiation receivers, in which the issues of light absorption in solids are considered, various types of photoreceivers are presented: photoresistors, photodiodes, photothyristors, phototransistors, as well as multi-element photoreceivers based on charge-coupled devices
