This collection contains the memoirs of about fifty authors - friends and students of an outstanding physicist, academician A. B. Almonds that span forty years from the early 1950s to 1991. Each of them to some extent bears the imprint of both the author’s personality and the peculiarities of his memory. Not surprisingly, sometimes the same events in different articles look somewhat different. Author's texts were edited only in case of obvious factual errors. Small deviations from the "truth" sometimes even help to look from different angles at such an extraordinary person as Migdal was, and contribute to the recreation of a multidimensional picture of the environment in which he lived and which he himself largely formed.
