“The Peasant Question in France and Germany” is an article by the famous German philosopher, one of the founders of Marxism, Friedrich Engels (German Friedrich Engels, 1820 - 1895).*** In this work, the author writes about how the development of capitalism and large-scale industry influences the lives of peasants, and what the French and German socialists offer them. He conducts a comparative analysis of the programs of the socialist parties in Germany and France. Friedrich Engels was famous not only in Europe, but also in the Russian Empire. Although he did not live to see the October Revolution, long before it he supported the Russian revolutionary movement and the fight against tsarism.
