You are angry with me because in the book “War and the Bible” I write that the Lord allows wars because of human sins, as well as famine and pestilence. Everything that I wrote, I wrote not according to my own understanding, but according to the Holy Scriptures of God. Not a single human mind is able to explain the totality of that evil and grief, which is called in one short word - “war”; My mind cannot explain it either; but God’s Holy Scripture explains and illuminates everything, like the bright sun. All wars, from the beginning to the end of history, are biblical wars, i.e. they are all dependent on the living, active and omnipotent will of the Third, the Invisible and the All-Deciding; they all stem from the sinfulness of either both sides, or only one of them; all of them operate according to the biblical law of causality and end in the way that Eternal, Infallible Justice will award them. From the Holy Revelation of God it is clear to whom God will grant victory. This is clear from the example of all wars in the history of mankind, if they are considered in the light of the Holy Revelation. The will of God grants victory to those who have the clearest and strongest faith in God and who fulfill His law... If not a single Christian people repents and returns to Christ - the center of their soul and life - then God will give victory to the peoples of Asia, non-Christian. We advise all people in our time to read this work of the Saint.
