The vast majority of people know, if not about the content, then about the existence of the 4 Gospels: “Matthew”, “Mark”, “Luke”, “John”. (“Gospel” translated into Russian means “Good News”). They tell only about some of the events in the life of Jesus Christ and very little about what he taught people. In addition, “Good News” “from...”, “from...”, “from...” and “from...” poses the question: “Where is the Good News from Jesus Christ himself?” These four “Gospels” have been canonized (legalized, turned into an unshakable rule) by the highest church hierarchy and allowed for distribution and use. However, few people know that there are more than fifty written testimonies about the teachings and deeds of Jesus Christ, which are called “Apocrypha” (“Apocrypha” (“Apocrypha”). Apocrypha" translated from Greek means "secret"). These are testimonies “from Thomas”, “from Peter”, “from Mary” (the mother of Jesus Christ), “from Mary Magdalene”, etc. The contents of these several dozen apocrypha differ significantly from the canonized ones. In this issue of the newspaper, the editors publish one of these apocrypha, a manuscript that exists in Aramaic in the secret archives of the Vatican and in Old Slavic in the Royal Habsburg Library. Previously, the manuscript was in the possession of Nestorian clergy, who were forced to flee from East to West, taking with them all the ancient writings and icons. Archaeologists are not yet able to accurately recreate how the texts came from Palestine to the interior of Asia, into the hands of the Nestorian clergy. The translation of the manuscript from Aramaic into English was carried out by Edmond Bordeaux Sheckley, who received his doctorate at the University of Paris, and other scientists degrees from the University of Vienna and Leipzig. He was also a professor of philosophy and experimental psychology at the University of Cluj. Being a famous philologist, a specialist in Sanskrit, Aramaic, Greek and Latin, he spoke ten modern languages. Every reader of our newspaper can compare the content of the canonized “Gospels” with this apocrypha and draw the appropriate conclusion. Sheckley himself spoke about it this way: “The truth will testify to itself.” The newspaper prints the text with slight abbreviations, which for better perception in a newspaper format is given with subheadings. The entire apocrypha can be found at the KPE headquarters and on the website http://www.kpe.ru.
