This article was published in Ernst Gauss's collection “Fundamentals of Modern History,” published in 1994 by the Grabert-Verlag publishing house in Tübingen, Germany. The free sale of this book is still prohibited in Germany. The translator expresses his sincere gratitude to the Swiss author Jurgen Graf[1] and the Belgian bookseller Sigmund Verbecke, who sent me this wonderful book. Despite some bias in the article, it will be of interest to all lovers of modern history, especially since little is known about the revisionist view of this problem. The translation of the article is somewhat shortened. I, on the other hand, had to supplement the article with several notes concerning those aspects of the history of Babyn Yar that could not have been known to the German author more than 9 years ago. I would like this article to spur a truly independent and free study of this tragedy, which could greatly help improve the mutual understanding of us, the Eastern Slavs, with our German neighbors.
