This manual is a continuation of the publication “Methods of teaching mathematics . Part 1" (training direction 44.) 03. 05 “Pedagogical education”, training profile “Mathematics and Informatics”) . It presents materials for independent work of students on general issues of the organization of mathematics training in secondary school and private issues of the basic school algebra course . The topics of practical and laboratory classes are fully consistent with the discipline program and ensure that classes are held in the 6th semester . The content of the manual reflects the methodological basis of modern educational technologies - system-activity, personal, competence-based and technological approaches to learning.
