In South Korea, where foreign occupiers are in charge, where a rotten puppet regime is established, hunger and destruction reign. "Secret Letter" is a collection of stories by contemporary Korean writers, so named from the story of Lee Gi-yong. The collection includes a total of thirteen stories belonging to the pen of both young Korean authors, such as Peng Hee-gyun, Park Young-ho, and the oldest Korean writers whose names are widely known to us in the Soviet Union - Han Ser-Ya and Lee Gi-Yen. The subject of the stories is diverse and covers various aspects of the life of Korean children, tells about the fate of Korea at different times. There are stories about pioneer life, about peaceful labor and war, about the valor of Korean patriots and about the hard life of the people of South Korea.
