And the young Dondub will have to make a dangerous journey to save his hapless brother and the well-being of all people. Irina and Olga Eratakhanovy, artists from Buryatia, presented an early layout of the book and illustrations at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2013 . The illustrations received positive feedback from publishers and colleagues, which inspired the completion of the book. The translation performed by Maria Smirnova, associate professor of the Department of Mongolian Studies and Tibetology of St. Petersburg State University, has preserved the features of Tibetan literature and will be understandable even to young readers.
