"'Akatsuki' in front of Port Arthur". Under this title, a small book appeared in Germany containing notes from the diary of the Japanese naval officer Nirutaka about the active participation of the Akatsuki destroyer under his command in the battles near Port Arthur. These notes are very interesting . By the way, they are curious in their very peculiar coverage of many details of these battles and the author's clearly hostile attitude towards Europeans in general and towards Russians in particular, the characteristic purely Japanese boasting, as well as remarks about Admiral Togo .. We give here the full translation of this curious edition. Prim. Red. "New Journal of Literature, Art and Iaukee". 1905.
