“Ancestor’s Tale” is a journey of four billion years We modern humans travel back in time in search of our ancestor. At the same time, any other living creature an animal, a plant, a fungus, a bacterium each makes its own journey. Together we go back in time, encountering other groups of wanderers with whom we share a common ancestor. We advance, neglecting danger, through mass extinctions, meeting more and more distant common ancestors. Ultimately, we are going through that fundamental turning point for life on Earth, when in one cell joined the future of the simplest with the bacterium to form a cell with a nucleus. Once we have reached this point, all living beings together make the final journey to the origin of life. This magnificent story brings together this wonderful book. Yet, the travel chronicle is a collection of individual stories told by wanderers. These stories cover the processes involved in the unfolding of life on Earth. Extremely rich and diverse, they include the results of recent discoveries based on DNA research to give a stunning insight into evolutionary history. The fundamental principle of evolutionary development underlies every story and connects them to this unique story: our history and the history of all living beings. The essence of this book is the consideration of our ancestors and our connections with other living beings. “The Ancestor’s Tale” shows us how wonderful we are, how amazing our history is, and how close our relationship with the rest of the living world is. The proposed translation of this book has been found somewhere on the Internet. As far as the author of this file is aware, this book has never been published in Russian and the translation offered here is amateur with all the flaws associated with this circumstance. However, this does not diminish the work of the author of the translation .. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to him, since not so much can be considered more worthy than unselfish work for the sake of the Enlightenment.
