Correspondence of Andrei Bely (1880-1934) with philosopher, musicologist and kulturologist Emiliy Karlovich Metner (1872-1936) is one of the most significant epistolary monuments characterizing the history of Russian symbolism during its heyday. The correspondence touches upon many significant facts that give an idea of the everyday life of Russian writers of the early 20th century. The most important topic of correspondence is the history of the creation and functioning of the largest Moscow symbolist publishing house Musaget, which allows to restore in detail the chronicle of his inner life.
