From generation to generation, from century to century, even after the coming of the Savior into this world, even the faithful Christians and even, most offensively, the Orthodox, commit the same mistake, step on the same rake. We are poisoned by sin so incurably that our consciousness, our mind, flatly refuses to understand the Words of the Holy Fathers. "With God, everyone is alive!" That is, even the most "advanced" can agree only so: Yes, we are alive there! But the fact is that all of us are alive only here, and whether we pass from Here to eternal life or to eternal death, only our Lord Jesus Christ knows about this.
