Unlike the previous Gibson trilogy "Sprawl" and "Bridge", the trilogy of Hubert Bigand (or, perhaps, the trilogy "Blue Ant" - conditionally it can be called so) is not a science fiction work. On the contrary, it is an informal and very peculiar slice of modern reality, with all its clichés, memes and templates, trends and bright social phenomena. With the previous two books, "Zero History" is associated with Hollis and Milgrim - and, of course, Bigand himself, this exceptionally charismatic and purposeful character, the driving force of all three novels. Unlike "Spook Country", where more attention was paid to Hollis, in the last novel, the main character on which the author's attention is focused becomes Milgrim .. Taking advantage of Hubert's offer, he undergoes a high-tech blood purification procedure, getting rid of his drug addiction. In fact, the name "Zero History" in this context and takes on the meaning of "starting from scratch", as well as Milgrim, breaking with his gloomy past, in fact, begins life anew. After all, the "side effect" of his social alienation was complete transparency for society: he has no credit card, no phone, he is not known to the police, he is a ghost, he does not exist. In general, the plot is more like "Pattern Recognition" - as in the first novel of the trilogy, Hubert Bigend hires the main characters to help him deal with the source of the bright and unusual media phenomenon. But if in the first book there are videos, then in the last one there is a line of fashionable clothes ..
