The book should be cozy and attractive, at least, this is what the new director of the Texts store, an American who recently moved to the UK, wants him to see. But it turns out to be quite difficult, because in his store, one of the whole network, something is constantly going wrong. First, the building is constantly hiding thick fog. Every time workers come in the morning, many books lie on the floor, some are torn or soaked in some kind of moisture. Computers malfunction, and at night, even disconnected, flicker with a strange gray light Orders are disappearing.
