The fourth volume includes works written by M. Bitter in 1899-1900. Of these, the following were included in the previous collections of works of the writer: “Foma Gordeev”, “Twenty-six and one”, “Vaska Red” .. These works were repeatedly edited by M. himself. Bitter. They were last edited by the writer when preparing a collection of essays in the publication of the Book, in 1923-1927. The remaining 4 works of the fourth volume were first included in the collection of works of the GIHL in 1949.
