This manual is intended for students studying in the specialty "Technology of public catering products" of the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship, receiving secondary vocational education . The tasks of the workshop are aimed at improving the skills of viewing and search reading, skills in working with texts in the specialty, expanding the terminological reserve, as well as developing the skills of oral monologue and dialogic speech . The manual can be used for classroom classes and independent work of students, as well as in classes with persons working in the field of food and restaurant business, students of professional retraining programs, studying a foreign language. The manual includes 3 thematic sections ("My future profession", "Meals", "Table manners"), each of which has a lexical minimum with exercises for its active assimilation, dialogue and reading texts.
