The monograph on Rublev is divided into four parts. The first gives an overview of the creative path of the artist, traces the ideological origins of his art and understands all the works that have come down to us as the master himself, and his closest students and followers. The second part contains biographical information about Rublev, which are subjected to critical analysis. The third part contains primary sources and the most interesting and significant statements of art historians and art critics about Rublev. Here the reader will find a kind of anthology that will help to understand how the views on Rublev’s work have changed and what his various aesthetic assessments have been. Finally, in the fourth part, I comment on the tables on which the works of Rublev and the masters of his circle are reproduced. Here are reported all the information about the state of preservation of this icon or fresco, its size, the features of its iconography, style, etc. d. In such a form, more flexible than that generally accepted for monographs, it becomes possible to cover the work of the master much more fully.
