No book in European literature can be compared in popularity with Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, the main character of which escaped far beyond not only the novel itself, but also the literature as a whole, becoming a kind of symbol of the days of the present and the days past. Combining folkloric motifs with the figure of the bloody dictator of the 15th century, Bram Stoker created a truly legendary image of the blackest and darkest romantic hero in history. Many of the classic techniques of the genre of "mocumenaries", which the author used, long before the creation of the genre itself, gave a unique effect: Dracula came to life Knowing that this hero is the fruit of the writer's imagination, people still continued to believe in him, invent stories about him, endow him with new qualities. Unfortunately, Bram Stoker did not see the triumph of his novel. All his life he dreamed of literary fame, but he achieved true success only after his death. The proposed edition includes one of the most complete translations of the novel into Russian, as well as a collection of stories “Your Forever, Dracula”, which the writer prepared for the anniversary performance based on the novel.
