Martin Buber (1878–1965) German and Israeli existentialist philosopher, one of the pioneers of the philosophy of dialogue, a repeated nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize and the eponymous prize in literature, winner of the Erasmus Rotterdam Prize . The central idea of Buber's philosophy, set forth in his most important work "I and You", is the fundamental principle of the interaction of the "I" with another person, existence as a "co-being" with other people, and ultimately with God. In his work, the author compares the relationship “I am You” and “I am It”, where the first is a live interpersonal communication, a love dialogue in which individuals dissolve into each other, the second is a cold detached attitude, referring to Aristotelian logic. The two types of relationship are two different ways of looking at the world; one cannot always be in a “I-You” relationship, Buber says, but “the one who doesn’t know this state is not a human being.” In PDF A4 format, the publishing layout of the book is saved.
