This training manual was developed in accordance with the plan of additional education (training and retraining) VLGAFC . The material is presented in the form of a lecture and is an addition to the UMK on the program of advanced training and internship "Sports technologies of the theory and methods of sports training in the chosen sport: athletics" . The team of authors paid attention to modern scientific research and the most relevant problems of the theory and methodology of training and improvement of technology, the selection of promising athletes, the development of physical qualities and health-forming technologies in athletics.
