"The Wall of Iskandar", the fifth, last, poem "The Five", is a voluminous multi-faceted epic work, which reflects the main issues that worried the minds and hearts of people of that distant time and is a true encyclopedia of public life and thoughts of the Navoi era. The main character of the poem is Iskandar, and almost the entire plot of the work is connected with his personality, with his activities and worldview. In the person of the great commander of antiquity, Navoi creates the image of an ideal ruler and opposes him to the statesmen of his era. Iskandar is not limited to caring for the prosperity of his country, it is occupied by the fate of the peoples of the world, who are ruined and wearied under the yoke of their enslavers.
