Alexandria . 48 B.C.. Caesar's legions enter Egypt. Passing by a smaller copy of the Sphinx, Caesar sees a girl who turns out to be Cleopatra, the queen of Egypt, and invites him to the palace, not recognizing this "funny old man" of the Roman commander. It is only in the palace that she realizes that Julius Caesar is in front of her. In Egypt, there is a power struggle between the court of Cleopatra and the court of her young brother Ptolemy Dionysus. Caesar, seeing this, decides to enthrone Cleopatra, who will single-handedly rule Egypt in his name. For six months Caesar taught Cleopatra to be a queen: to become an independent and wise ruler.
