The outstanding Danish thinker Sren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) can undoubtedly be considered the forerunner of existential philosophizing. In addition, his ideas had a direct impact on the "dialectical theology" of Karl Bart, on philosophical anthropology, personalism and other trends, where the emphasis is transferred to the personal appropriation of a certain truth, on intense, personal experience and the construction of meanings. The Treatise “The Concept of Fear” was published by Kierkegaard in 1844. under the pseudonym Vigilius Haufniencius. This psychological essay is entirely devoted to the problem of original sin, which is the basis of fear. Kierkegaard was the first philosopher to distinguish between "fear-fear" (Frygt), that is, the fear to which we can find a specific cause, and the agonizing, sucking man from the inside fear-dizziness (Angest), - fear of Nothing without rational explanations. Despite the seemingly pseudo-scientific form, Kierkegaard himself referred to the "Concept of Fear" as one of his "light-minded works" .. Perhaps here, for the first time in the latest theological literature, the problem of sensuality, eroticism and sexuality from the point of view of Christian dogmatism is considered in detail. The publication is addressed to teachers and students, theologians, philosophers and culturologists; it will be of interest to historians of European culture and religious thought, as well as to a wider range of readers - amateurs and true connoisseurs of philosophical essays.
