The first article investigated the reason for the different behavior of EP-48 and XCR steels in the process of work. To compare the results, various methods of metal-physical analysis were used: X-ray, dilatometric, magnetic and electron-microscopic. The main difference in steels EP-48 and XCR, associated with the technology of smelting In the second article, the properties of magnesium alloys are given and typical details of cars made from them are reported. The third article contains a study of material turbine wheels, nozzles and shafts of three-round turbochargers . For orientation, the properties of domestic heat-resistant alloys recommended for similar parts that contain fewer scarce elements and exceed the properties of the studiedforeign alloys are given. The works of this collection were reported at the Second Scientific and Technical Conference of Young Specialists of NAMI in March 1962 .
