The book is the third volume of a four-volume edition of Max Weber's Farm and Society. This is the first complete translation of the famous work into Russian .. This volume includes two works on the sociology of law. In the first of them, the article "Economics and Orders", the author characterizes the differences in sociological and legal approaches to the study of social processes, describes the specifics of regulatory systems (orders) of different levels and shows the features of their impact on the economy. In the second work, "Conditions for the development of law", the formation and development of legal systems (primarily the three "great systems of law": Roman, English and European continental) is considered in the context of changes in the organization of the economy and structures of domination. Law acts here as a powerful factor in the rationalization of social life, in turn, subject to the rationalizing influence of economy and social management. The publication is intended for sociologists, lawyers, political scientists, historians, in general for specialists in a wide range of social and human sciences, as well as for a circle of readers interested in the problems of social and cultural development of our time.
