The monograph systematizes and summarizes the results of experimental and theoretical studies of electric discharges of direct and high-frequency current with inkjet electrolyte electrodes in the processes of modification of materials and products at reduced pressures. Features of electrical breakdown along the inkjet electrolytic cathode are considered, forms of multichannel discharge and anomalous smoldering discharge between inkjet, droplet and porous electrolytic cathode and solid anode, as well as between the inkjet electrolytic anode and the inkjet electrolytic cathode. Particular attention is paid to the study of the combustion mechanism of multichannel discharge at reduced pressures and the development on its basis of new technologies for modifying the surface of materials and products. For the first time, the results of the experimental study of high-frequency capacitive discharge (VCHER) between electrolyte and metallic electrodes with an electrolyte jet in a wide pressure range. are presented. A mathematical model of high-frequency plasma treatment of solids under reduced pressure.
