Thermal storage materials based on the exo- and endothermic effects of phase transformations are used to stabilize the temperature of some elements of radio and optoelectronic equipment. for the accumulation of solar and other non-traditional energy sources , creating comfortable conditions in residential and industrial premises , in refrigeration, for storage and transportation of medicines and food products . The change in the heat content of TAM can occur both with a change in its temperature, and in the process of phase transformations. The paper provides an analysis of patents for the development and use of heat-accumulating materials based on phase transformations of crystal hydrates. The prospects for the development of new TAM and the ways of their implementation are indicated.
