This scientific and practical manual contains basic provisions on the procedure and features of resolving disputes about children, which relate to the determination of the child's place of residence and communication with a parent living separately. The peculiarity of resolving disputes about children is that the dominant role in them is given not so much to the content of the rules of law, which are mostly declarative in nature, but to the judicial discretion. After all, the problems of each family are unique, and the court in resolving each emerging conflict takes into account the specific circumstances. The position of the authors is based on the analysis of the current application of the norms of the Family Code of the Russian Federation (the text considers more than 40 examples from judicial practice). The publication contains information that may allow the conflicting parties to reach a consensus in the pre-trial procedure and conclude an agreement on the exercise of parental rights or to draw up a schedule for communication with the child.
