Some of the events happened a long time ago, in the early 70s, others happened literally yesterday. I did not change the names of people or the names of animals . Everything written here is true. Why did I decide to write about it? For several reasons. First: I was very lucky to communicate with interesting, endowed with different talents, spiritually rich people. My supervisor, mentor was a scientist with a worldwide reputation Leonid Viktorovich Krushinsky .. It was his influence that pushed me to study zoopsychology. But no less than my other teacher gave me - Tariel Varlaamovich Gabidzashvili . A trainer from God, who understands the subtlest movements of the soul of any animal, Tariq showed me the technique of communication, training, routine work. The second reason: I managed to combine hobbies interest in animals, their behavior and habits with work. For 10 years, while I studied and then worked at the Biological Faculty of Moscow State University, I communicated with a variety of animals. They had different characters, destinies; there were anecdotal situations, there were tragedies. Many of these events forever crashed into memory, and I have more than once or twice told about them to my friends or used them as examples in lectures on the psychology of dogs. The transition to professional dog breeding, breeding dogs in breeding kennels enriched my experience no less than scientific research at the University. The third reason . For 20 years I have written many serious tutorials - articles and books - for amateur dog breeders and cynologists-professionals. As far as I can tell, they are successful. However, my friends strongly advised me to put on paper not only practical recommendations, but also the same stories about the past. Especially stubborn were my closest friends - Oleg and Larisa Tokari .. I hope they won’t be disappointed.... And the final reason. To our pets, dogs and cats, a very short century is allowed. How many of them go away forever during the lifetime of one person! However, I want to believe that as long as we remember our animals, they stay with us. Therefore, this book is also an attempt to preserve the memory of those four-legged brothers and sisters whom I knew and loved.
