Article. The main result of creative searches 1822-1823 . was the beginning of the work on the novel in the poems "Eugene Onegin" . Work on this work lasted more than seven years. "Eugene Onegin" became not only one of the central works of Pushkin, but also the most important Russian novel of the XIX century. The peculiarity and meaning of “Eugene Onegin” was not only that a new plot, a new genre and a new hero were found, but I am in a pioneering attitude to the artistic word. The concept of artistic text . has changed. A novel in verse is a genre that the author separates from both a traditional prose novel ("devil's difference") and a romantic poem. Fragmentation of the romantic poem "with quick transitions" was contrasted with a manner that recreates the illusion of a casual story ("I am agitated until impossible"). This manner was associated in Pushkin's mind with prose ("prose requires chatter"). However, the effect of simplicity and unsophisticated ease of authorial narration was created by means of an extremely complex poetic structure. The switching of intonations, the game of points of view, the system of associations, reminiscences and quotations, the element of author's irony - all this created an exceptionally rich semantic construction. Simplicity was apparent and required the reader to have a high poetic culture.
