2nd Edition . - M. : MSU, 1997. - 448 s. The textbook is based on the program of the general course of biophysics for students of biological faculties of state universities . The wide development of biophysics and its penetration into various related fields of biology and medicine became possible mainly due to the formation of its own theoretical base in biophysics. It is on this uniform basis that general biophysics courses are taught at various biological, medical, physical and agricultural universities. This textbook focuses mainly on the training of experimental biologists. Therefore, the focus is on the results obtained by biophysics in solving relevant biological problems. However, the presentation of general theoretical provisions is quite universal and can be useful to a wide range of different specialists. The first book describes the theoretical positions of kinetics and thermodynamics of biological processes and the foundations of molecular biophysics; the physical models and representations underlying the understanding of molecular-kinetic mechanisms of biological processes are analyzed. The presented material serves in biophysics as a theoretical basis for the analysis of biological phenomena at different levels of organization in the elucidation of elementary molecular interactions and ways of regulation in biological systems. This approach is associated with the modern idea of electron-conformational interactions in macromolecular complexes, the functional properties of which determine both the molecular features of metabolic processes and the specific mechanisms of their regulation.
