Lenin, letters, telegrams, notes, recordings of conversations over a direct wire, questionnaires and other materials. The twenty-ninth volume of the Collected Works in . and . Lenin consists of notes, fragments, notes on various books and articles on philosophy, as well as Lenin's remarks and notes on the margins and in the text of philosophical books from his personal library. Most of the manuscripts of the notes, fragments and notes included in the present volume were first published in 1929-1930 in Lenin's Collections IX and XII ;. In 1933-1947, these materials were published five times in a separate book called Philosophical Notebooks, and in 1958 they were published as volume 38 of the 4th edition of the Works of B.. and . Lenin . The composition of the previous editions is not the same, the most complete of them was the last, in comparison with which the present volume is supplemented by Lenin's first published remarks on the book I.. Dietzgen's "Small Philosophical Works" and previously published remarks on the book Y. M. Glass "H. G. Chernyshevsky, his life and activity"; some notes from Lenin's "Notebooks on Imperialism", included in Volume 28 of the Complete Works, are omitted in this volume.
