In one small Uzbek village lived ten-year-old Rustam and his mother Firuza. In the evenings, Firuza told her son fairy tales that warmed their hearts and gave them hope. One of them was about a great wizard - an old man who lives behind the mountains and desert, near the sea. Rustam dreamed of meeting this old man... One night, the evil Genie attacked Rustam’s hut and kidnapped his mother. Firuza managed to put her son on a donkey and gave the order: “Never take off your belt, go north, find a magical old man there to serve as his apprentice!” Rustam went on a journey and met there with an enchanted girl - a mountain on which the Genie had cast a spell. To save his mother and his first love, Rustam must go to the dead city and find a magic sword there. After all, only they can defeat the evil Genie. On his way he will encounter many obstacles and temptations.
