This edition is the 1st part of the "Self-Teacher of the Armenian Language" for the reader. It should be noted a wide range of its practical application - it is designed both for those who want to learn the Armenian language independently, and for specialists preparing to master the profession of translator. The morning construction of the "Self-Teacher" is due to the basic principle that made it easier for us to learn the Armenian language: from observation of the facts of the language to their comprehension and then through repeated repetition and gradually complicating the development of skills and abilities in various types of speech activity. Each lesson consists of a textual material provided with a dictionary-interpretation of individual words, lexical-grammatical commentary and exercises based on a mutually reinforcing, "key" principle. New lexical-grammatical material is introduced into the text through models of sentences and phrases, comprehended, and then fixed in exercises. Exercises cover the lexical-grammatical material of this lesson, as well as the material of previous lessons that require fixing . Thus, from lesson to lesson, in addition to new models and structures, the methods of distribution of already known ones are shown, their lexical content is expanded. Lexical-grammatical phenomena are brought into the system in this lesson and are activated in subsequent ones. Quite widely presented is the initial section - acquaintance with orpheopia, where the concept of the sound side of the studied language is given, its phonetic features are noted, since these language factors, according to the authors, represent the greatest difficulty in mastering the Armenian language. In the first lessons, students also get acquainted with the main meanings of cases, verb forms and the main types of communication of words in the Armenian language, presented in the form accessible to persons who have some skills of independent work with the book. In fact, this book is the first part of the "Teacher" introduces beginners to the study of the Armenian language with the basics of sound, lexical and grammatical structure of the language being studied.
