There are also positive chapters, for example, about how to catch okapi for the zoo . And about the farm where elephants are raised . At the end of the book - wonderful photos taken by the author . Half a century has passed, fortunately, there are still national parks in Africa, blood safaris have been replaced by observation of the life of animals. Hundreds of films about the nature of Africa have been shot and the film made by Bernhardt no longer “looks” against their background. In many countries of Africa, civil war is still ongoing, which is always bad for wild animals and for people. The social problems associated with desertification have only gotten worse over the years. This is a really great book and I recommend reading it.
